You’re a good actor! You did both the comedy scene and the dramatic scene equally well. That’s a great range!

Tricks of a Woman
Don, it was great working with you. It was such a fun scene to film - I wish we could have more of your character in the film. Hopefully we’ll be able to work again in the future.

Thank you so much for your performance. Nobody could have nailed that role but you and I’m so grateful that we had you with us. Nearly all of the acting growth I’ve experienced has come from you and for that I’ll always be grateful , and I really and truly mean that.
This is two films we’ve worked on together now, and I can clearly see how dedicated you are in this field. That level of carrying on and optimism, no matter how late the hour, was something you brought to this project, and I’m very happy you did. It’s interesting that you can work alongside someone once, and at times that can be quite enough, but in your case, with the amount of experience and that die-hard work ethic you bring to the set, a hundred times, might NOT be enough.
(So, only 98 more projects to go! Then I’ll never talk to you again I guess….!)
Thanks a lot Don…
You’re the best!

Pretty Dead Things
I have been lucky enough to direct Donald in two movies, Creature From The Hillbilly Lagoon and Pretty Dead Things. In both movies he showed a great sense of humor, talent and respect for his craft.
Donald comes to the set not only prepared, but also with a cheery disposition and respect for his fellow actors, no matter how long the hours run, or how bad the craft service table is. A rare breed, indeed!
Donald has a long career ahead of him as one of our great character actors, and I just hope we’ll have the chance to collaborate on future movies.

In a Town Called Winslor
We could not have found a better Danbury. You are not only a talented, and hilarious, actor but an incredible person to work with. There are few others who would have had the amazing patience you had while filming in the snow, rolling off rocks, and sprinting up mountains. I hope to work with you again soon.
Ariel Solaski - Producer
I wanted to write and thank you for your performance, patience, understanding, and overall attitude that you brought to the project. I know that the environment wasn’t exactly the best (the cold, the waiting around, etc.), but not once did you raise any objections or express any sort of discomfort or impatience — you were always there and always willing to give one hundred precent. Not only was your performance right-on, you were also a pleasure to work with. As I have found, this is rare in actors. Again, Don, thank you very much for your involvement and belief in “Winslor.” Your performance was amazing — all of the crew loved watching your performance every night with the dailies. You went above and beyond my expectations. As was needed, you and Ruby (Cecilia) carry the project.

Swink
Thank you so much for participating in my film. You brought life to Lamkin beyond anything I could have hoped for. You were absolutely perfect. And not just to me; everyone on the shoot was telling me how much they loved your performance. Thanks again, for giving substance to my words.

Out of Alignment
….I so enjoyed working w/you on OOA & I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED watching you perform your scenes - i think i was the cause of you having to do another take b/c i couldn’t stifle my laugh & the audio picked it up (sorry!)
… Dude - i have to say that the first impression i have of you (on that first audition when we met…) was that of a true gentleman and a kind person - add to that, now, a layered and very talented performer, a sharp sense of timing - with knowledge and, i do believe, business savvy just under the surface…. your chemistry on set was amazing and just as i know in my heart OOA is a winner, i know that it’s audience will embrace your memorable performance and character! I cannot WAIT to see the director’s cut!!!

Seepage!
A few years ago I did a student film. I still don’t understand why I did it. I just kinda fell into it. Onset I met an actor who was just starting out named Don Foley. We got along well and I was very impressed with the way he handled himself. I told my wife that night that if Don hung in there that he would be the first local guy from my group of peers to make it. I still feel that way. My wife met him much later an also became a fan of his.
To be honest in most cases there are 1000 guys who can play killers, 1000 pretty boys to hit on the girls. But there is only one Don Foley. He has his own look & delivery and I think he is great. He reminds me of a wrestler I worked with in the 80’s Bob Van Winkle. I thought Bob was the best worker in New England. But he was handicapped by size. I was way on the small size and Bob was much smaller than me. If Bob had my size he would have made it big. He was alot better than me and I did okay. The point in comparison is size does not matter in acting. And I predict Don will be the next one in this area to make it. Ands like Bob, I think he is better than me.
I recomended Don for “Seepage” and he nailed his role. And, to be noticed in that very talented cast says something about him.
William DeCoff - Actor
Another Country Ensemble
Don is one of the most professional actors in the Ensemble. He is entirely reliable, respectful of directors and other cast members, learns his lines, is on time–I have had exemplary reports about Don from the beginning. Ensemble directors who work with him once want to work with him again.
