Commentary Track!

Filed under: Acting Journey — Don @ 12:09 am

MicrophoneWell, I had another one of those acting “Firsts” that I always go on about. I was just invited down to Rhode Island to be one of the actors on the commentary track for the US DVD release of Creature from the Hillbilly Lagoon (formerly named Seepage!). I drove down with my acting buddy and good friend William DeCoff. There we met with Richard Griffin (the director) and Ted Marr (the producer) where we sat down and watched the movie and just talked and talked and talked. It is a pretty tough thing to fill an hour and a half with dialog, but we did it. I must say I definitely spoke the least during the movie as I only had a small part in this one and did not know too much about the behind the scenes goings on. I did get involved here and there, and had some things to say on and off. It was a blast and a great honor, and I hope I get to be involved on the Pretty Dead Things commentary when that comes out as I had a much bigger role in that movie and would have more to talk about. Look for Creature from the Hillbilly Lagoon at your local Blockbuster, Bestbuy, or on-line at Amazon.com and Netflix in Q1 2007. To see my scene from this movie go here.

Here are some other “Firsts” in my Acting Journey: 1 2 3

Hey, I almost forgot! I had another “First” tonight too! Richard let me hear my characters theme music for the upcoming Pretty Dead Things. In movies some characters have their own theme music that plays every time you see them. I have never up to this date had a character with his own theme music! My character is called Moe Blue and he is a sleazy porn producer and the music fits him perfectly. This was sweet!

Here is a picture of the character:

‘Tis all for now!

  3. Congrats on all of your firsts! You look fabulously unrecognizable as a bona fide slimeball in that picture!

  4. I think I did some work for the guy that character was based on. He wasn’t a porn producer, but the outfit seems to fit him.

I can’t wait till I get my own theme music and commentary track! I don’t even have an IMDB page yet . . . :-(
