Film Connection Interview

Filed under: Acting Journey — Don @ 8:01 pm

Me on TV!Hey, this is a first! I am being interviewed on a local cable show called “The Film Connection” in Easton, MA tomorrow. The show is a cable access show about what the local film makers and actors are up too. The person running the show is a director/writer friend of mine named Joe Conforti. He is the director/writer of ‘Out of Alignment’ where I play the comic antagonist of the movie. All though this does not have huge exposure potential as it is local access, it will still be a very cool thing to experience. It is kind of funny; I don’t get very nervous when acting on film or at auditions these days, but I am feeling a little nervous about being my-self on camera. Weird. Well, who knows this could be good practice for my interviews with David Letterman, Conan O’Brien and Jay Leno if I make it big. And this is another of those “firsts”, I am always ranting about. Cool Beans!

Wish me luck!

‘Tis all for now!

  3. Very cool! I remember the first time I was interviewed on access for a play I was in. It’s amazing how different it is, and how nerve wracking it can be. Good luck!

Yep I am going to get a copy, and I will ask for permission to put bits of it up on line.

Yeah, it is so wierd that being your self is more scary on camera then being someone else. I suppose Freud could have a field day with that concept.

  5. […] Hey, so in some previous post (here and here) I mentioned that I was interviewed on a local cable TV show called “The Film Connection” and I promised that if I received a copy I would post some of it here. Well, I got the DVD and I took about 3 minutes out of the 30 minute episode and made a flash movie you can see below. We talked about a whole bunch of stuff concerning the film industry but I tried to make the 3 minute clip follow a theme so I stuck to acting advice. Check it out and let me know what you think. I had a lot of fun doing it and I was super pleased and honored to be asked to be on the show by Joe Conforti the host. […]
