Another First! I’m painted in a movie poster!
Ok, so this is another first for me. I appear in a fully painted movie poster. This actually happened quite a while ago, but I did not have a chance to scan in the image till now. This beautiful poster was painted for the Swink movie premier that took place back in April 2006 at the Kendall Square Cinemas in Cambridge, MA. I had a pretty small role in the movie only appearing in an about 5 scenes, but my character was also mentioned by other characters in 3 or 4 other scenes so I had a decent presence in the film. I played the creepy lackey of the mob underboss who was trying to take control of the mob, while the big boss was away on vacation. You can see me placed behind the underboss, my boss, just below the handle of the gun. You can click the poster to see a bigger image. I must say that it feels pretty cool knowing that an artist has rendered your image in paint for a movie poster. Another cool thing is that I signed a bunch of these posters at the premier, a new and fun experience.
Tis’ all for now!
That’s super fantastic. How thrilling for you! Your star is rising, Mr. Foley!

Yeah, the director sent me a big poster size copy of it in the mail. I had it framed, and now it hangs on my wall. It is these physical remnants from movies I acted in like posters and old props that makes this whole acting journey feel more real somehow.
