Quick Updates

Filed under: Acting Journey — Don @ 12:05 am

So, I am a bad blogger this week. I had a call back audition for Shutter Island/Ashecliff last weekend but never posted about it. I guess I was waiting to see if I got the part. I feel I did really well in the audition and Ellen Lewis who is a huge casting director in NYC said some really nice things about my performance. I am still waiting to hear — been 11 days. I must admit I am getting a little nervous now but I try to keep in mind that is was two weeks or more to hear about getting my role in “The Golden Boys” last year. I will post as soon as I hear anything. I really want this part in Shutter Island, so please send all your thoughts/prayers/mojo my way. It will be much appreciated.

‘Tis all for now!

  1. Break a leg, Donald.

If I guessed the part you auditioned for was the “Wild-Eyed Man” who shouts “this is hell!” would I be correct?

  2. Hey, how did you guess that? At my call back I read for another one also. Going to keep mum about that one though. Good guess. Have you read the script?

  3. I just have the sides. You mentioned your character being an inmate in the cellar and that’s on page 82. You’re neither redheaded nor bald, so that leaves the Wild-Eyed Man. I could also picture you as The Warden.
