The movie ‘The Salesman’ #1 on OurStage.com!
[Edit Aug 22nd, 2007: Damn! We held #1 posisition for 13 days, then all of a sudden we dropped to #9 in just one day. 13 is unlucky! Oh well, still in the top 10. If we can stay in the top 10 for just 2 more days we will make it to the finals round. Please cross your fingers!]
I acted in this movie some time ago, back in 2004 I think. I had figured this one was collecting dust, but it is now #1 on OurStage.com in the short film category. Check it out! If you like it, please consider voting to keep it #1.
‘Tis all for now!

I enjoyed the video…good job.

Great job in it Donald. That’s also a site I’ll check out again.
I’m a newbie here. How does a part like this generally work? Does the director give you free reign of how you say the lines, how experienced the salesman is, tone of the scene, etc.?
Or do you just get the script and get free reign? Thanks Donald.

Marsha:
Thanks! I had fun filming it!
Joe:
With this film the director was very flexible and let me have free reign. Here and there he asked for minor adjustments. We were pretty much in sync with the feeling that the Salesman was kind of sad and pathetic, trying his best to keep a good face on a dead-end sales job. Some directors I have worked with are the opposite and try and curtail your every move. Don’t much like working with that type, but out of the 40+ films I have worked on I have only run into 1 or 2 micro managing directors. The director of this film was a blast to work with.
Thanks for the comments!

Hi, I liked it. Story, acting, music, pace all good. Video quality not so good. Must be that site. Not too clear how to vote and when I figured it out didn’t like that I had to register. Anyway good job.

Woot! I haven’t even SEEN any of the films I’ve done. It’s gotta feel good. I’ll check it out when I have the time.
