Paulie’s Car

Here is another picture from the set of Paulie taken with my camera phone this Saturday, February 10th. It was a fun day, and because it was just a small crew and I, we were able to bang out all three of the locations we needed for the day; we were done just after noon time. In the movie my character comes to a bar at night and tells patrons the story of his bad day. As he tells the story the movie moves through several flashback scenes of the days events and his voice narrates the action in the scene. We filmed these flashback scenes without sound or MOS which is film-speak for without sound. Not needing a sound person and equipment reduces the amount of time a shoot will take. The picture above was taken at a junk yard, where we got an old Crown Victoria for Paulie’s car. It is hard to see in this photo but the car has lots of damage, especially on the inside. This is for the flashback scene when Paulie explains how his car was vandalized earlier that day.
‘Tis all for now!
Cool. Kind of fun to run through a shoot day a lot quicker, and not have to stop for planes flying over or traffic rolling by. Sweet ride, too. I don’t even want to know what that is oon the door, though . . .
